As early as 1963, doctors from Hunan province have participated in the first Chinese medical team to Algeria.
Over more than half a century, Hunan has sent 55 batches of 677 medical workers to Sierra Leone and Zimbabwe, treating over 1 million patients, training local medical workers more than 9000 times, training 1500 African students on medical skills in Changsha.
Generations of medical workers from Changsha and Hunan have built bridges between China and Africa with their compassion and medical expertise, benefiting countless African people and writing countless touching stories of boundless love.
